The stay here was lovely at very good value. The location was beautiful, not far from a castle and city walls. Cafe Cantin located 1 km away was a nice surprise.

    definitely coming here again

The breakfast featured fresh eggs that tasted like they came from a farm. My room had a private bathroom, TV, hairdryer, and tea/coffee maker. Andrew and Gill were super helpful, even with my bags. The views of the mountains were amazing. Plus, there was a lovely garden to relax in.

    delicious breakfast
    spacious room
    steep driveway

We enjoyed horseback riding and went mountain biking around the area. Andrew and Gill were super helpful with local tips. The breakfast was great, and the room was spacious and comfy. Just a quick walk to the attractions too.

The driveway was a bit steep, made parking tricky at times. It could be an issue if you have mobility challenges.

    beautifully decorated room
    thoughtful amenities
    challenging mobility
    limited parking
    minimal dining options

From the fine mountain views to the exquisite breakfast options, every detail was thoughtfully included to enhance our stay. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, providing immediate comfort. Special touches like fresh milk and helpful local information further elevated the experience. Navigating the two flights of stairs could be challenging for those with mobility issues.

    delicious breakfast

    Perfect for a well-earned break

Had an amazing breakfast that you would not expect from a small place like this. Fresh eggs that tasted like they came straight from the farm, unbelievable. Plus the owners Andrew and Gill were super accommodating, helped me with my bags when I arrived, real nice folks.

It wasn't exactly cheap but for what you get, it's reasonable.

    amazing breakfast
    lack of top sheet

I had a lovely time at our cozy room with beautiful decor and a fine view! The breakfast was amazing, and we enjoyed relaxing in the serene gardens and unwind in the inviting lounge area. A slight downside was the lack of a top sheet on the bedding, but overall it was a fantastic stay! 😊

The decor at Bryn Derwen is good. It's a charming blend of Victorian elegance and cozy comfort. The common areas are so bright and inviting.

More seating in common areas would help.

    wonderful accessibility
    steep access
    difficult luggage transport
    limited parking

A lovely stay with wonderful mountain views from the room. The cleanliness of the facilities was perfect, and I appreciated the availability of fresh milk on the landing. Breakfast was a highlight with a diverse menu, expertly prepared each morning. Just a note, the steep hill can be challenging if you have a lot of luggage.
